WHAT IS SEQUENTIAL TREATMENT?
Sequential treatment is an advanced form of homeopathic treatment for chronic disease. It provides a more systematic means of correcting the causes of illness and restoring the balance of our life energy.
What is disease?
Dis-ease is an imbalance of our life energy.
- When we are healthy our energy is free-flowing and harmonious; we feel alive, vital and dynamic.
- When we are sick, it is because something has disturbed our normal energy flow. We feel ill at ease, dis-eased, lacking energy, as if our flow was blocked, hindered, impeded.
Homeopathy seeks to treat and heal the true causes of disease. The symptoms that we feel are only the result of the imbalance of our vital force. They are the outward manifestation of our inner disease.
Why our vital force gets disturbed?
We are all born with a certain constitution which is our individual make-up. Our constitution determines how we react to our environment and act as a shock absorber or protective shield against all the stresses we encounter through life. Over time, our constitution can get rundown and become imbalanced, especially if we don’t have a healthy lifestyle. This imbalance creates symptoms which can be easily corrected and does not lead to any persistent or chronic problems.
Chronic problems are usually the result of inherited weaknesses called miasms. We are all born with a predisposition certain diseases inherited from our parents and grandparents. These miasms make us more susceptible to certain shocks and traumas; they are the true causes of chronic illness.
These inherited weaknesses remain latent, or inactive, until our system is heavily stressed. Running down our constitution can activate a latent chronic condition. More commonly and more importantly, shocks and traumas during our lives will trigger this chronic underlying layer. The identification and treatment of these shocks is the heart of sequential treatment.
Treating shocks traumas and our inherited weaknesses
Our life energy has a memory of all the shocks and traumas that we have experienced through life. These shocks and traumas act as a blockage to the efforts of the life energy to heal. Sequential treatment removes these blockages following your life energy. Healing takes place in the reverse order of time.
The shocks and traumas may be:
- Physical in nature, such as viruses, drugs, accidents, vaccinations
- Mental and emotional in origin, such as deaths, relationship break-ups, fearful events.
Treatment
Treatment consists of identifying the significant shocks, establishing a timeline of these events and then giving the right homeopathic remedy (s) to remove the disturbance in the life energy created by each event.
Once all these disturbances have been treated, we then remove the inherited weaknesses, those we have inherited from our parents and grandparents.
What to expect
Initial consultation
It lasts approximately 1 to 1.5 hour. We take your complete medical history, identifying the various shocks and traumas and establishing a plan for treatment (called a timeline).
Treatment may occasionally start with a constitutional remedy to strengthen your immune system if it is too weak, or with specific remedies to deal with an immediate, acute flare-up, or for cellular detoxification.
Follow-up visits
Follow up visit are usually shorter, about 30-45 minutes. They usually take place once every 4-6 weeks depending on the severity of the case.
Once we have treated all the significant events on your timeline, we need to address the inherited predispositions. These are the source of many chronic diseases, whether physical or emotional in nature. We are gifted with a certain inheritance at conception, and as we live life and traumas impact on us, we begin to manifest symptoms. We tend to get the diseases our family tended to get, and these family tendencies are a potential we are born with, but they are not a guarantee. Heilkunst helps to make them almost non-existent.
